Site Update: New Features and Services

Today, I want to share some important changes I've made to my website's layout. I decided to update it for several reasons, all centered around one idea: the site should always reflect the professional phase I'm currently in.

New Layout and Color Choices

One of the first changes was to the color scheme. I had been using a black-and-white palette for some time, but I felt it was time for something that resonates more with who I am now. I opted for brownish tones, which better represent this current phase. However, this change in color wasn’t the primary reason for the site’s transformation.

Translation Services: A New Chapter

Important elements of my professional life are emerging, and I felt the need to incorporate these into the site more consistently. One of these elements is the translation services that I plan to offer soon. I am currently deeply involved in studying, particularly focusing on the relationship between artificial intelligence and translation, specifically from Mandarin to Brazilian Portuguese. Soon, I’ll be sharing more about these studies and how I see this field evolving.

Cultural Consultancy: Understanding China

Another service I’m preparing to offer is cultural consultancy, based on the research I’ve been conducting for my PhD. This research has given me a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, and I want to help others better grasp the cultural differences between China and Brazil. The idea is that this consultancy can make the experience of those visiting or doing business with China clearer and more enriching. In the text I drafted about this service, I made it clear that the consultancy will be tailored to the specific needs of each client, using my expertise in anthropology to provide a more nuanced perspective, beyond the common stereotypes.

Field Vlog: A New Journey in China

Finally, one of the updates that excites me the most is the Field Vlog, which I’ll start recording in the coming days. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be in China, visiting various cities as part of my PhD research on Chinese cinema from the early to mid-20th century. The name Field Vlog refers to anthropological fieldwork, which will directly influence how the videos are produced and edited. This project makes me a bit anxious, but I’m very excited to share the experiences and daily life of the places I’ll be visiting. All videos will be posted on YouTube so that you can follow along.

These are the main updates I’ve made to the site, and I’m very excited about these changes and the new projects that lie ahead. I’m particularly looking forward to the Fieldwork Vlog, which promises to be a unique experience. I hope you all enjoy the new features! Feel free to comment, share, or ask questions about any of these services. There are contact forms on the specific pages for that.
