Translation and Cultural Adaptation from Chinese to Brazilian Portuguese
Precise language, cultural sensitivity, and human care — from someone who studies the culture deeply.
Nino Rhamos
I am a PhD candidate in Anthropology, specializing in cultural and linguistic studies between Brazil and China. Throughout my academic and cultural journey, I have developed projects focused on the translation and revision of cultural and academic materials. I now bring this experience into the professional field, aiming to deliver not just literal translations, but natural and culturally appropriate adaptations for Brazilian audiences. Although my commercial work in translation is at an early stage, my academic background and experience with Chinese cultural studies allow me to offer services with accuracy, contextual awareness, and professional responsibility.

Services Offered
Chinese to Brazilian Portuguese Translation:
I work on institutional content, educational materials, project presentations, and marketing texts. I use CAT tools, specialized dictionaries, and a translation workflow that combines machine assistance with thorough human post-editing and cultural adaptation. Each project is approached with attention to tone, audience, and clarity.
Portuguese Editing & Text Adaptation:
For Portuguese texts written by non-native speakers or machine-translated content, I offer stylistic and grammatical refinement to ensure fluency and cultural appropriateness — making the final version sound natural and professional for Brazilian readers.

WHY WORK WITH ME?
I’m not a certified translator in the traditional sense — I’m an anthropologist who chose Mandarin as a long-term field of study and cultural bridge. My academic and field experiences in China, along with years of working with Chinese texts and speakers, have shaped a translation practice focused on clarity, integrity, and cultural nuance. I don’t just translate — I adapt and contextualize with care.
